andrea pes was born in rome in 1975.
he first created his nightmares by means of a black ink pen; then, at the EID (european institute of design) in cagliari and rome, he experimented with even odder ways.
he divides his time between cagliari and macomer, making ends meet as a graphic designer during the week and disappearing without a trace on the weekends.
he enjoys black & white, and loves the paradox of merging a 'graphic style' (as he calls it) with wickedness, pain and death… finding it amusing.
misanthropist, moody, apathetic, claustrophobic, slothful, recidivist, he gets carsick and loves storms, rain, cold weather and winter.
he vivisects reality removing its human side, stitching strips of his nightmares with some strong black thread… and, finally, everything fits… maybe.
