Description
I am Dario Balletta, I was born in Palermo in 1981, live in the suburbs of the capital of Sicily, where he graduated in the high school at Liceo Scientifico Stanislao Cannizzaro, after some work experience (among the most important, that of the apple harvest and cultivation of hops in Trentino) in other Italian regions, the Civil Service in a Wildlife Rescue Centre Association the L.I.P.U. and participation in a course of comics that will lead to the birth of the School of Comics in Palermo, shortly after I graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo.
After high school in the late 90's I had worked as a illustrator in the newspaper the new L'Ora, just before the Graduation I'm working with a prolific Greek writer, Sissy Pantelis, releasing a couple of stories in magazines in England and Argentina anthologies, for a few months between 2010/2011, the photography magazine Potpourri, has published a comics story of mines; as a project for the thesis, I present a study on Philip K. Dick accompanied by interviews with Tim Powers, Peter Fitting, Umberto Rossi, Antonio Caronia, Vincent Bergerat and Francesca Rispoli, in the months of August and September 2013 the magazine Pastiche published a short story of mines.
Over the past few years I participated in painting projects, arts festivals and exhibitions, currently working in a vegetable garden, with the traditional method of cultivation without the use of chemicals.
