The contest launched by Fondazione Arena di Verona in collaboration with the creative community Creathead ended. 176 participants for 569 proposals: these are the numbers of the contest to identify a red wine naming and a white wine naming dedicated to 2013 Centernnay Festival, the event that celebrate the 100 years from the first performance of Aida by Giuseppe Verdi  in the Arena di Verona.

The creator of the selected proposal is Giuliano Cuccurullo, a Copy Senior from Naples registered to Creathead who thanks to his proposals, obtained the fee of 2,000 €, developing what was the goal of Fondazione Arena. A big number of creative works has been presented, but Fondazione Arena unanimously chose “Corvina dell’Arena” and “Garganega dell’Arena”, that evoke the link between territory, culture and tradition, expressing strength of the bond between opera and wine, "made in Italy" excellence in the world.

Centennary Wines will be produced by the Casa Vinicola Sartori, official partner of Fondazione Arena, in collaboration with the Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Valpolicella, the Consorzio per la Tutela del Vino Bardolino D.O.C., the Consorzio per la Tutela del Vino Bianco di Custoza D.O.C. and the Consorzio Tutela Vini Soave D.O.C., and with the creative support of Franco Bernabei, an important oenologist.
