INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: "URBAN 2013 STREET PHOTO CONTEST"

URBAN is an international competition of street photography promoted by dotART, a cultural association based in Trieste, Italy, with years of experience working in the field of artistic photography and the visual arts.
URBAN looks for talent and quality among both professional and amateur photographers and offers an international platform from which such talent and quality can get noticed. The highest placing photos in the competition will take part in series of “travelling” photography exhibits. In 2012 URBAN exhibits were held in Trieste, Poland (Krakow), Hungary (Budapest and Miskolc) and Colombia (Bucaramanga).

 

URBAN has as its main theme daily life in the city, which is seen through street photography: real, instant images, that capture moments, people, faces, streets, buildings and other elements capable of telling stories woven into the urban fabric. The star of the show: the City.

Professional artists, photographers and communication experts will judge entries and choose the winners (jury members are currently being selected, with the final panel to be announced shortly). After the closure of the competition, works selected by the jury will receive awards and will then appear in a collective exhibit (location and dates to be announced).

 

The total prize money on offer totals in excess of € 2,500.
